Worthys Festival 16th - 24th September

The Festival celebrates all that is great about our community. We continue with our original plan to have a truly inclusive Festival, with something for  everyone, and everything free or at as little cost as possible. We aim to have many of the same popular events, including Jazz on the Green, Village Quiz, Walks, Talks, Music, Football, Crafts, Dog Show, Flower and Produce and the culminating Fireworks, plus many more events.

Romsey Food Fest - Sunday 3rd September

Romsey town centre will be bursting with local produce on Sunday 3rd September 2017 with its annual Food Festival between 10am – 4pm.
This fantastic day out for all the family is a recipe of delight, Romsey will be bustling with over 60 local stalls full of Hampshire Fare.
Take an abundance of local produce available at Hampshire Farmers' Market in Alma Road and all over the town. Stir in family fun with Kidsrome Farm, & tractors, Jake's Circus Act, face painting, and crafts, Sprinkle some light music from Retro Swing in the White Horse Courtyard, Outplay Jazz Combo on The Hundred and a Treasure hunt for the children and big kids among us and you have the perfect recipe for a great day out.

Family Bushcraft - Herbs and Their Uses
Friday 25 August, 10am - 12.30pm 
Learn about the uses of some common herbs in cooking and medicine. Create your own herbal book and use some of the herbs you collect to flavour bread and make tea. With a special site in our woodland, and set within our beautiful grounds, bushcraft sessions are fun, safe and educational. Led by our qualified staff, we build in time for a bit of "wild play", like clambering over logs and we might get muddy even in August!
 Suitable for ages 7-12 years 
Children must be accompanied by an adult.

SSAFA Stepping Stone Homes

SSAFAs Stepping Stone Homes based in both the North East and the South of England provide short-term supported accommodation, help and advice to female service or ex-serving personnel, the female spouses or partners of serving or ex-serving personnel, and their dependent children.

Support is also provided to women without children or whose children may be living elsewhere temporarily, those seeking accommodation due to welfare needs, and Foreign & Commonwealth cases. The above list is not exhaustive. Each case will be considered individually.

Our homes provide a comfortable, secure and female-only place to stay for as long as it takes the resident to get back on their feet. From our clean and well-maintained communal spaces to private areas for each resident to make their own, we make our houses like home for however long the resident is with us.

The schemes are also registered with local authorities as refuges for those fleeing domestic abuse and, as such, their locations are not to be disclosed to the public. Referrals can be made via the email addresses below:
